American tour of Cracow Jazz Nonet - Janusz Bielecki’s music in jazz arrangements.
Young jazz musicians under the supervision of Kazimierz Chludek - an experienced music educator, a graduate of the Department of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Katowice, begun their overseas tour in April. In the cradle of jazz they not only develop their talent and gained stage experience, but also promoted Janusz Bielecki’s music to the American audience. The band had prepared his compositions in original arrangements, combining jazz and classical music. Cracow Jazz Nonet performed Bielecki’s music along with jazz standards of John Coltrane and Miles Davies. Concerts were held in jazz clubs such as the legendary Blue Wisp in Cincinnati, and clubs in Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus and Indianapolis.
